Gov. Ted Strickland has signed a bill into law that he hopes will prevent future cases of shaken baby syndrome. He says too many children are killed or maimed from the preventable problem.
The new law will mandate the Ohio Department of Health develop educational material about shaken baby syndrome. Once that happens, the information will be given to new parents at hospitals and to child care providers throughout the state. |
