This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. As calls for Attorney General Marc Dann to resign continue on a daily basis, thought is being given to who the Governor could appoint to replace Dann if he were to leave. The Democrat who lost the primary for the Attorney General's office to Dann two years ago says he's interested. Subodh Chandra says he would like the opportunity.

Gov. Strickland is not tossing out possibilities of who he'd like to replace Dann with if the embattled attorney general resigns. Whoever Strickland appoints would have to face a statewide election this fall if the appointment were to happen before September.
