The rescue of more than a hundred ice fishermen on Lake Erie ice floes last month is prompting a state lawmaker to propose some kind of warning system. Dennis Murray represents the area around Sandusky. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Bill Cohen, Murray says he hopes local fishermen and local officials will figure out a warning system that would help to keep people off the ice when it's not safe, and if the locals need help from a state agency, it should provide that assistance. |
