Earlier this year the Center for Disease Control says it underestimated the number of new HIV infections in the United States by as much as 40%. Statistics show that nearly half of all new HIV cases occur among African Americans and people under 30. As WYSO's Jerry Kenney reports, the rise in infection rates is in part a side effect of people living longer with the disease. |
