Recycling experts urge people who bought live trees not to just toss it in the trash.

Each year many people make the decision to have a live Christmas tree instead of an artificial one. But many of those don't know what to do with the tree once the holiday is over. John Remy with the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio says don't just toss that tree into the trash can.


Remy says his agency sees an uptick in the amount of trash picked up after the holidays, but it's not the busiest time of year - that happens during spring cleaning in March and April.
