ODOT working out ways to help crews get to tornado-torn sties in northwest Ohio.
By Jo Ingles - June 11, 2010
Cleanup efforts in northwest Ohio continue following the recent tornado that killed five people and wiped out many homes and businesses. The Ohio Department of Transportation's Scott Varner explains his agency has been helping with the efforts.

Varner says there was extensive damage to a state roadway in Millbury. But he says the damage didn't stop there. He notes as many as 40 different rail cars were de-railed in that area too and adds ODOT has been helping with re-routing to keep that system running smoothly. Varner says the state has helped to keep the local airport open.
