Order Online : "The State of Ohio"
This week on "The State of Ohio": Lawmakers once again look at electing to change voting laws. Democrats hit back again against JobsOhio. And conservative activists who say they were targeted for extra scrutiny by the IRS speak out as they prepare to sue.

Ohio legislature makes history with first openly-gay lawmaker taking her seat.
By Bill Cohen - February 18, 2011
This new session of the Ohio Legislature is already making history, simply because of who is in it. A democratic state representative from Lakewood, near Cleveland, is Ohio’s first openly-gay state lawmaker. Nickie Antonio says she’s proud of her identity, but she wants to be known for a lot more than that. She sat down recently with statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen.

Antonio supports a proposal to add sexual orientation to the list of factors that may not be used to discriminate against Ohioans, but the idea stalled last year in the Republican-controlled state Senate. And the GOP now dominates the Senate and the House.

Rep. Nickie Antonio (D-Lakewood) with Bill Cohen (2:38)
