This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. Final space shuttle flight means soaring and crashing emotions at NASA in Cleveland.

After thirty years and 134 missions, the Space Shuttle program will - weather permitting - come to an end Friday with the final flight of Atlantis. The four-member crew will deliver supplies to the international space station, where astronauts are conducting experiments in zero gravity. Several of those experiments are run remotely from Cleveland by engineers at NASA Glenn Research Center. And as Jeff St.Clair of Ohio Public Radio member station WKSU reports, they’re marking the countdown with mixed emotions.
