Ten-year old car is topping new list of most stolen cars in Ohio.
By Bill Cohen - August 2, 2011
The auto insurance industry has just released its updated list of the most likely motor vehicles to be stolen in Ohio. The top five are: the 2000 Dodge Caravan, the 1994 Honda Accord, the 1994 Chevrolet Full Size Pickup, the 1999 Ford Taurus and the 2000 Honda Civic. Mitch Wilson is with the Ohio Insurance Institute. He says a decade-old vehicle is often targeted by thieves, if it's a model that didn't change. That's because the thieves want something to chop into parts.

There's a new trend in recent "hit lists" of stolen vehicles - the thieves now prefer American-brand cars over foreign brands.
