Constitution panel wants to avoid changes to document that are “too big”.
By Bill Cohen - December 28, 2011
Changes in Ohio’s Constitution could be on the horizon, now that a special “Constitution Modernization Commission” has held its first meeting. The bi-partisan panel plans to take several months, coming up with recommendations for constitutional amendments that would need an okay from state legislators and from voters, before they took effect. Democratic Sen. Michael Skindell is a member of the panel. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen asked him what issues it might take up. Skindell listed a relaxation of term limits for legislators, plus other issues.
