Republican Gov. John Kasich’s decision to move his State of the State address to Steubenville may be unprecedented, but it’s not drawing major fire from a former Democratic governor. Richard Celeste says he’s okay with it.
When he was Governor, Celeste delivered all 8 of his State of the State addresses in the traditional place -the chamber of the Ohio House of Representatives. But Celeste did occasionally hit the road, by taking his entire cabinet to cities across Ohio. The program happened once a month. It was called “Capitol for a Day.” |
