Supporters call it “right to work.” Critics call it “the right to work for less.” Both sides are talking about the same thing: a proposal to change Ohio law so that no longer could union contracts require workers to pay money to unions in order to get or keep a job. While some tea party activists gather petition signatures to put that idea onto the ballot, a think-tank boosting free-market ideals has released a study applauding the concept. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports the study’s conclusions are predictable, and so is the response from critics. |
