In the race for President, Ohio is ground zero when the debate turns to whether the federal bailout of the auto industry was a good or bad thing. After all, Ohio is close to the top in jobs that are linked to auto assembly and auto parts manufacturing. Supporters of President Barack Obama’s re-election drive are planning several campaign events this week at Ohio auto factory sites to celebrate the president’s backing of the bailout. But Republican are deriding the campaign. Ohio Public Radio’s Bill Cohen reports. |
