Where Are Statistics on Lawsuit Abuse?.

Last June, the Ohio Senate approved a major bill that would limit courtsuit damage awards for pain and suffering, and would also limit punitive damages that juries award. But ever since then, the House of Representatives has stalled the proposal. It’s been stuck in the House Civil Justice Committee and hasn’t moved forward to the House floor for a final vote. The chair of the committee is sending signals that backers of the bill need to come up with more justification for it. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports.
