| School Report Cards Will Change Categories, May Spark Confusion. |

Report cards on individual Ohio schools are coming out Monday, and they may be more confusing than ever. That's because education officials are using new terms to describe different groups of schools, depending on how many of more than two dozen thresh-holds they've reached.
There will now be 5 categories, instead of 4. From the best to the worst, here's what they're called -- excellent, effective, continuous improvement, academic watch, and academic emergency. J.C. Benton speaks for the state education department, and he was questioned by statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen. |
