Consider a tax increase. That's what a potential Democratic candidate for Ohio
governor is saying. Cuyahoga County Commissioner Tim Hagan says the new state
budget that legislators have just approved doesn't give enough new money to schools,
universities, and other programs. He's blasting Governor Taft and majority Republicans
in the legislature for taking the idea of a tax hike off the table. |

| For decades, Republican politicians have lambasted Democrats for raising taxes and they've won many elections as a result. Still, Hagan does not agree that supporting tax hikes always kills a candidate's political career. |

Brother Bob is a state senator. His late father, Robert, was a state representative. Tim Hagan also has a link to Hollywood and its potential campaign donors - his wife is actress Kate Mulgrew, who plays the starship captain in the TV series - Star Trek: Voyager. |
