There's a bill that's just been introduced in the Ohio legislature that would make changes in the way the state's elections are conducted. Secretary of State Ken Blackwell is backing the plan to define more clearly what over votes and blank ballots are. And as he tells Statehouse correspondent Jo Ingles, this plan does something else. |

| Blackwell says the US senate has passed a plan to provide money for states to purchase new computerized voting machines. He thinks that money could be available to counties in Ohio after the first of next year. He says the feds would pay 90% of the cost for the new machines. |
