Ohio legislators are now thinking about scaling back a proposed increase in the state cigarette tax. Supporters of the tax hike say it's needed to help plug a projected hole in the state budget that some legislators say has grown to nearly $2 billion. But critics say unless the tax hike is trimmed, it will slow down Ohio's economic recovery. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports. |
