Ohio's auditor wants to know why a non-profit child placement agency in Newark spent more than $700,000 on a luxury car lease, tickets to athletic events at Ohio State University, and country club memberships.
Auditor Jim Petro says his audit of Symbiont NFP shows the agency, which has a government contract to place children in foster homes, finds many questionable expenditures. |

| Petro's audit suggests that the state agency that oversees foster care should work with county and federal agencies to recover the more than $700,000 in question. This audit is the sixth of 25 reviews that Petro is conducting for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. |
