A group that wants to ban gay marriage and domestic partner benefits to unmarried Ohioans has filed nearly 392-thousand petition signatures with state elections officials. That move could put a proposed constitutional amendment onto the November ballot. Churches and religious activists – on both sides of the issue -- could play a key role in whether the measure passes. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports. |
