Order Online : "The State of Ohio"
This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. Is fall like weather putting autumn foliage in danger?.
By Jo Ingles - August 16, 2004
Unusually cool weather this August remind many people of fall….the time when trees change color and the landscape around the buckeye state becomes a beautiful picture. Fall is the time of year when many tourists flock to Ohio to view the wonderful foliage. But will the recent cool weather affect this autumn’s nature show? Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles poses that question to Bill Shultz,a forester with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Beginning in October, weekly updates on fall colors will be available by calling 1 800 Buckeye or by logging onto the internet at Ohio-D-N-R dot com.
