A new report cautions that the state could lose a lot of money in the future if it doesn’t clean up its streams, lakes and rivers. The Ohio Environmental Council’s Jack Shaner says Ohio is one of the most popular states for fishing. And in an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles, Shaner explains mercury pollution in Ohio’s water stands to make the Buckeye State fall out of favor with anglers.
The report shows that even a 25 percent decline in fishing would cost Ohio more than three hundred million dollars in lost revenue. |
