It appears nothing will stop Wednesday morning's execution of an Akron killer who was only 18 when he shot a man during a robbery. Governor Bob Taft has denied clemency for 28 year old Adremy Dennis, who is scheduled to die Wednesday at 10am for the murder of 29 year old Kurt Kyle, who was killed in his driveway after celebrating his first amateur race car win. Steve Farrell is an assistant state public defender....he spoke with Ohio Public Radio's Karen Kasler.
In a recent death row interview, Dennis admitted he was drunk that night in 1994 when he and a friend robbed Kyle, and that he'd shot Kyle after telling him not to move during the holdup. If Dennis is executed, he will be the youngest Ohioan put to death in 42 years. |
