A Northeast Ohio lawmaker is trying to put the brakes on “road rage” with a bill that would increase the penalties for incidents involving dangerous driving. Sen. Tim Grendell, a Republican from Chesterland, says too many people are endangering others with behavior that he says should be punished with a citation and corrected with court-ordered anger management classes, if a judge determines it's warranted. He spoke with Ohio Public Radio's Karen Kasler. Grendell says six states have enacted some form of “road rage” legislation. Grendell proposed a similar measure last year, but it went nowhere. |
