If you’re driving on Ohio roadways Wednesday, don’t be surprised if you notice more motorcycles and scooters. Ohio safety officials are asking motorcycle and scooter owners to drive their vehicles to work. It’s part of a yearly national campaign to boost everyone’s awareness of how cars, trucks, cycles, and scooters have to share the roads. Bob Secrest coordinates motorcycle programs for the Ohio Public Safety Department, and he talked with statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen about the Wednesday event.
Secrest says motorcycle drivers have an advantage when they leave their cars at home and drive their cycles to work – their commute takes less time. |
