Taft not talking about possible ethics charges against his former chief of staff.
By Jo Ingles - July 28, 2005
Governor Taft doesn’t have much to say right now about an ethics commission investigation into actions by his former chief of staff. The Franklin County Prosecutors office will likely file charges against Brian Hicks by the end of the day Friday for alleged ethics violations. Taft himself is under investigation too for failing to disclose golf outings on his financial reports. The Governor says he won’t guess at whether he’ll face criminal charges in that matter. Taft has retained a lawyer to represent him in the ethics case.
Gov. Bob Taft (:25)
