Natural gas bills are expected to soar at least 40% this winter, and Ohio legislators are under pressure to do something to bring them back down, or at least help low-income consumers pay those bills. The Energy Committee of the Ohio House of Representatives has just wrapped up its second hearing into rising gas prices, and lawmakers have been handed a controversial new proposal that backers insist could mean more fuel at lower prices. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports. |
