It appears that a controversial proposal to ban adoptions by gay people in Ohio is dead on arrival in the legislature. Several conservative Republican lawmakers have introduced the measure. But the Speaker of the House of Representatives – himself a Republican – is making it clear that the proposal isn’t going anywhere. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports. |
