Three Toledo men accused of terrorist charges.

A federal grand jury indicted three Toledo men on terrorism charges alleging they planned attacks to kill U.S. and coalition military personnel in Iraq and other countries. The five count federal indictment also accuses 26 year old Mohammad Zaki Amawi 42 year old Marwan Othman El-Hindi, and 24 year old Wassim I. Mazloum of trying to recruit others to join a holy war against the US. US Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez says the men practiced with guns at shooting ranges and studied how to make explosives. US Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez says the three were also recruiting others to train for a violent holy war against the US and its allies in Iraq. One of the three men is also accused of threatening to kill President Bush. Gonzalez describes the shutdown of the Toledo-based Muslim nonprofit group KindHearts earlier in the week as “separate, but coordinated investigations”.
