Emily's List prepares to do battle in Ohio this election year.

A national group that focuses on helping Democratic women get elected plans to spend time and money in Ohio during the coming months. Emily’s List has targeted two congressional campaigns in Ohio and will likely work for at least one statewide female candidate. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles, the group’s Ramona Oliver explains why Ohio will be a major battleground for Emily’s List.

Ramona Oliver says there are more than 2,500 members of Emily’s list in Ohio. She says the group plans to raise funds for Ohio candidates as well as do educational campaigns targeted to women in the coming months.
