Forty horse trailers ringed a downtown block of Dayton Sunday, as families from the horse industry protested against the Dayton Daily News for writing strong editorials against State Issue 3, which would allow Ohio race tracks to install electronic slot machines. The demonstration revived debate over whether the state should help out a floundering industry. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen files this report. |
