New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. And more thoughts on legislation that would dramatically change rules on unions in Ohio.

Monday Creek flows through Perry County and Hocking County before it empties into the Hocking River in Athens County. Moving south, the creek and its tributaries pass by dozens of old coal mine sites, and in doing so, they take on the fatal flavor of acid. For more than a decade, the Monday Creek Restoration Project has been trying to literally bring new life to the stream. Here's reporter Fred Kight with an update. |
