MySpace does an about-face and decides to release sex offender data to Ohio AG and others.
By Jo Ingles - May 21, 2007
Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann says MySpace will turn over the names and information about thousands of registered sex offenders who were members of the service. The decision from the social networking website to disclose the data comes three days after Dann filed a subpoena seeking those records. Dann says the information will be given to the state's bureau of criminal investigation.

Dann says he's also encouraging MySpace to do more to make the internet safer for kids, including implementing an effective age verification system.
