Ohio's smoking ban has been enforced for a couple of months now. The Ohio Department of Health's Kristopher Weiss says thousands of complaints have been lodged against businesses since that time.
Weiss says no Ohio business has been fined yet. He says that's because it takes a while for the process to get to the point that fines are levied. The new smoking law was passed by voters in November but authorities did not begin enforcement until May of this year. |
