Treasurer says survey sheds light on how women are using - and misusing - credit cards.
By Jo Ingles - September 5, 2008
Treasurer Richard Cordray says he's finding many women in Ohio are putting themselves in bad financial situations because they cannot afford to make ends meet. Cordray has just concluded a series of workshops where his office helps women with financial advice. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, Cordray says a survey conducted at those events shows many women in Ohio feel they are resorting to credit cards for because there's too much month at the end of the money.

Cordray says the survey shows one more reason why government needs to take action to stop abuses by credit card companies.
