When the shipping company DHL left Wilmington two years ago, nearly 9,000 jobs were lost, and Clinton County predicted that one in four local business would close. That didn’t happen, in part because of a robust campaign to encourage residents to spend their money locally. And this holiday season, Wilmington businesses are getting an additional boost: a visit from conservative Fox News talk show host Glenn Beck. From member station WYSO, Emily McCord reports. |
