New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. Animal advocates say Gov. John Kasich is at least partly responsible for the escape and slaughter this week of dozens of exotic animals from a farm near Zanesville. That’s because Kasich let lapse an emergency order that former Gov. Ted Strickland imposed in January. WKSU’s Kabir Bhatia reports on why the Humane Society and others say that order could have prevented the tragedy. |
