Order Online : "The State of Ohio"
This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. And more thoughts on legislation that would dramatically change rules on unions in Ohio.

Ohio's jobless rate falls for the seventh straight month.
By Bill Cohen - March 23, 2012
Ohio’s official unemployment rate has dropped again. It’s not a big drop, but officials say it’s still an encouraging sign. The rate for February is 7.6%, down from the 7.7% in January. Ben Johnson tracks the numbers at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, and he puts the latest figures in context, in an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Bill Cohen.

He says another 4,000 Ohioans got off the unemployment rolls last month. That leaves 443,000 still without a job.
