Order Online : "The State of Ohio"

Emotional governor signs law declaring March 30 a day for Vietnam Veterans in Ohio.
By Bill Cohen - March 30, 2012
In an emotional ceremony today, Gov. John Kasich signed into law a bill making every March 30 a day to honor Vietnam War veterans. Some of the vets who attended gave mementos of the war to Kasich. His cabinet director in charge of veterans services, Col. Tom Moe, recalled his own five years in a North Vietnamese prisoner-of-war camp where he was tortured. He said today’s declaration would help give the veterans some closure.

That tapping sound was a code that American POWs used... to communicate with each other when they were held in solitary cells in North Vietnamese prisons.

Col. Tom Moe (:30)
