Lobbyist for major oil companies says gas prices should stay steady throughout summer driving season.
By Karen Kasler - May 28, 2012
Gas prices may have ticked up over the holiday weekend, but drivers shouldn’t expect a big increase in prices for the summer driving season. That’s according to a spokesman for the major oil companies in Ohio. Terry Fleming with the Ohio Petroleum Council says he thinks prices will stay stable through the next few months - or could even drop.

Ohio’s gas prices were slightly below the national average of $3.68 a gallon, after dropping 26 cents nationwide since April. While Fleming feels prices will stay steady, he cautions that events in other parts of the world can unexpectedly pull them up.
