Will Most Students Flunk Tougher Math Graduation Test?.

Get out a pencil and paper. That is, if you want to sample the new and more challenging math test that Ohio high schoolers will soon have to pass to earn a high school diploma. The current high school graduation test includes a math exam that’s based on what students should learn during their first eight years in class. But starting with this year’s freshmen, future graduates will have to pass a test that’s based on 10th grade level math. Some education activist are warning most of today’s students are going to have a hard time making the grade. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports.
