On the day that Ohio's 20 electors meet at the Statehouse to cast their official votes for President and Vice President, Jesse Jackson and other voting rights activists will file a lawsuit challenging President Bush’s victory in Ohio. Statehouse correspondent Karen Kasler spoke with Cliff Arnebeck, one of the attorneys working on this challenge, who says it doesn't come too late to change the outcome of the electoral vote. Jesse Jackson says Senator John Kerry is involved in this effort, as he is in the recount request from the Libertarian and Green Party presidential candidates. Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell certified the results of the vote last Monday, saying it would have taken the collaboration of hundreds of Democrats and Republicans to have stolen the election for President Bush. |
