"Do-not-call" list is working in Ohio, says attorney general's office.
By Jo Ingles - April 6, 2005
Ohio’s attorney general’s office says it is having success in going after companies that target Ohioans who’ve registered on the national “do not call” list. A-G spokesman Mark Anthony says the state has pursued legal action against four companies so far that it believes violated the law that protects consumers from unwanted telemarketing calls. Anthony says anyone who receives unwanted telemarketing calls after signing onto the “do not call” list should contact his office.
