The Ohio Consumers Council is praising a ruling by the Ohio Supreme Court. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles, the counsel’s director, Janine Migden Ostrander, explains the court has vacated a rate stabilization plan recently approved for American Electric Power. The three year plan approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio had granted nearly $200 million in annual generation rate increases for A-E-P and another $77 million for Columbus Southern Power. There’s no word when the PUCO will hear the case again. |
