Advisors on Gov. Strickland's transition team are suggesting Ohio lottery officials lower the jackpots on games in order to boost profits. But that idea is being rejected by lottery officials. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, Marie Kilbane of the Ohio Lottery explains why the lottery believes it should not change course right now.
A spokesman for Gov. Strickland says the suggestion was made by the transition team. The Ohio Lottery says it will continue to look for ways to improve profitability while keeping the public interested in its games. |
