Holiday Happenings

Jo Ingles
Christmas Story House, Cleveland, Ohio

The holiday season is the time friends and relatives often visit Ohioans. If you are wondering where to take them to see interesting sights and sounds of the season, here are some ideas for you.

The Ohio Tourism Department’s Tamara Brown says tourism ticks up during the holidays.

“In fact, in 2015, we saw about 20 million visits from people from October through December that were attributed to visiting friends and relatives.”

Some of the state's most popular holiday attractions are Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo, the Christmas Story House in Cleveland, Walleye Madness in Port Clinton, Dickens Victorian Village in Cambridge and the lights of Clifton Mill near Cincinnati. More ideas can be found on the tourism department’s web site at Ohio.org/holidays.
