The Ohio Department of Health is the latest agency to be affected by the theft of computers. It reports 28 new computers have been taken from a locked storage room at the agency. Spokesman Jay Carey says these computers had not yet been issued to employees and did not contain sensitive data.
Carey says the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Earlier this year, a computer was taken from the car belonging to a state intern. That computer device did contain sensitive information. The state estimates it will have to spend around two million dollars to deal with the theft of that device. |
