Order Online : "The State of Ohio"
This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. And more thoughts on legislation that would dramatically change rules on unions in Ohio.

Republicans who dominate Senate say only one issue dominates them - jobs.
By Jo Ingles - February 11, 2009
Republican leaders in the Ohio Senate say one four letter word is on their minds: jobs.

Sen. Tom Neihaus says Republicans want to allocated $340 million of state economic stimulus money to projects that will create jobs. And Neihaus says another way to create jobs and keep existing ones is to reduce unnecessary regulation of businesses in Ohio.

And he says GOP members want to make spell out guidelines for spending the infrastructure money Ohio is expected to get from the federal government.
